At A Better You Primary Care, our mission is to provide personal, compassionate, and accessible healthcare that treats every patient as an individual — never just a number. Founded by Vanessa Miramontes, FNP-C, our practice began in El Paso, Texas, and has expanded to serve New Braunfels, the Hill Country, and patients across Texas and New Mexico through telemedicine.

We believe accessing healthcare shouldn’t be hard — it should be simple, convenient, and truly accessible. That’s why we are not a franchise or a corporate-owned clinic, but a locally owned, family-centered practice built on trust, relationships, and whole-person care.

Our services include primary care for the whole family (ages 3+), chronic disease management, preventive screenings, sick visits, and men’s and women’s health. In addition, we provide wellness services, including medical weight loss, hormone therapy, and PCOS support.. With both insurance and affordable self-pay options, we keep care flexible to fit your needs.

At A Better You Primary Care, our team is dedicated to making healthcare simple, personal, and accessible.

  • Owner/Provider
    Vanessa Miramontes, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with experience in both family practice and internal medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Texas Tech University and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing Practice at The University of Texas at Arlington.

    Vanessa is passionate about providing personalized, compassionate care that empowers patients to take charge of their health. Her approach blends evidence-based medicine with genuine connection, ensuring every patient feels heard, valued, and cared for.

    When she’s not seeing patients, Vanessa enjoys spending time with her husband and their baby girl, Aubrielle. Together, they’ve poured their hearts into building A Better You Primary Care, a practice rooted in family, faith, and community.

  • Medical Director

    Dr. Roberto C. Ramalhete is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician, certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He brings extensive experience in hospital-based care along with advanced training in aesthetic medicine, IV therapy, and medical weight loss. Dr. Ramalhete is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care that supports both health and wellness.

    He is a proud member of the American College of Physicians (ACP) and the American Medical Association (AMA). Dr. Ramalhete completed his Internal Medicine residency at Winthrop-University Hospital in 2018 and earned his medical degree from Charles University in 2015.

  • Office Manager

    Jose Miramontes is the Office Manager at A Better You Primary Care and the backbone of the clinic’s daily operations. As both husband and business partner to founder Vanessa Miramontes, FNP-C, Jose has played a key role in building the practice from the ground up and ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

    Dedicated, organized, and patient-focused, Jose brings both heart and structure to the clinic, making sure patients receive the seamless care experience they deserve.

    Outside of work, Jose enjoys spending time with his wife and their daughter, Aubrielle, and can often be found on the golf course in his free time.

  • Medical Biller

    Jessica (Jess) Miller grew up in the medical field, working alongside her father who was a podiatrist in Tullahoma, Tennessee for over 20 years. From filing charts to scheduling patients, she gained early experience that gave her a strong foundation in healthcare and extensive knowledge in medical terminology and practice operations.

    Jess has been married to her husband, Chris, for 17 years, and together they are raising three boys in Woodbury, Tennessee. Outside of work, she and her family enjoy outdoor adventures, dirt track racing, and traveling on motorcycle trips across the country.

    Her passion is helping providers run smooth, successful practices so they can focus on delivering the best care to their patients.
